Band leader and percussionist Eddie "Champ" Reyes credits his father for introducing him to the congas at the age of 10. He is self-taught and draws inspiration from the masters. During the 80s and 90s his latin rock influence led him to play with some of the best musicians in the San Fernando Valley including: Sal Rodriguez (War); Isaac Avila (Tierra); Bruce Conte (Tower of Power) and Bobby Espinosa (El Chicano). But his true passion is rooted in the Latin Jazz world and it is what inspired him to form The Granada Project in 2011 with four other talented musicians. Together they have developed a unique and harmonious Latin Jazz style for your listening or dancing pleasure.
