My name is Trisha Brauer. When I was in grade school, every report card that was sent home always included the same message: “Trisha is a good student, but she talks too much.” Little did my teachers know, I was destined to be on stage and was preparing for my future career. I took a traditional path in life...I went to college and got a job. One day I woke up and felt limited. That day I decided to live the life I wanted and embraced my personal mantra of “No Limits”.
?
I am a Speaker, Auctioneer, Professor, wife, fur-mom and ambassador for good in our world. Across the United States, I work to empower others to find their personal “No Limits” motivation. When I consult, teach, or speak with people, my goal is for them to leave the experience with a clearer vision of what they want to achieve. I also let them to know I spend the majority of my life in yoga pants and hanging with my dogs, and it is AWESOME!
?
My life path has not been a straight line, pretty, or always exciting. I have worked on farms, waited tables, worked in education and healthcare. I finally had the courage to start my own business. I have gained and lost friends, loved ones, weight, and my keys countless times. I have had the best days of my life and the days where I wonder what I am doing. Through it all, the greatest lesson I have learned is I can trust myself. As long as I continue to move forward there is not anything that can keep me down.
Thank you for your time and I look forward to meeting you on life's crazy, messy and beautiful journey.
?
Kindly,
Trisha

PS: If you were to talk to my mom, here are other things you would learn about me:
I graduated from Coe College with a Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations and English and hold a Master's Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing and Sales.
I went to auction school (yep, that's a real thing) at World Wide College of Auctioneering.
I live in Kansas City with my husband and two dogs named Herky and Mark.
I threw discus and shotput and held the distance record for my high school for six years.
I was Big Sister of the Year through Big Brothers Big Sisters in 2018.
I de-tasseled corn (possibly the worst job ever and a right-of-passage if you are a kid in Iowa).
I was President of my 4-H Chapter, which at the time was a chapter only for boys.
As an auctioneer, I work in a heavily male-dominated industry where 16 percent of auctioneers are women.
I was awarded “Professor of the Year” for my contributions in the classroom.
I have served on the Board of Directors for two state auctioneers associations and currently am the only elected female to sit on the Board of Directors for the National Auctioneers Association.
I became an Associate Professor at the age of 26.
I started teaching at World Wide College of Auctioneering only three years after I finished my training and was inducted into their Hall of Fame in 2018.
I have served on the Board for several professional associations related to education, healthcare, marketing and auctioneering.
I hold two prestigious professional designations: Benefit Auctioneer Specialist, which has been awarded to fewer than 300 auctioneers worldwide, and Certified Auctioneer Institute, a three-year program and the highest designation awarded by the National Auctioneers Association.
I am an instructor for the Benefit Auctioneer Specialist program.
I am obsessed with organized crime and love mob movies with my favorite being “Donnie Brasco”.
I am a huge Cubs fan and went to the World Series in 2016.
I am in the “Journal of American Medicine Association” for a rare break in my arm.
I have co-authored four textbooks.
I am a hugger, so fair warning for when we meet.
