The Department of Spectacle offers a variety of circus-style skills that can make an ordinary event into something SPECTACULAR! Whether it's juggling, stilt walking, face painting, balloons, or interactive plate spinning we can stroll amongst your guests making the occasion memorable and fun. We also specialize in circus instruction so if you or your guests (no matter what the age) have always wanted to learn to juggle, balance a feather or spin a plate, you've come to the right profile. Tanya Turgeon, founder and Head of the Department of Spectacle has 15 years of entertaining experience. She has performed on the television show Sesame Street, at HersheyPark, on Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, in the Macy's Day Parade, for Big Apple Circus's Circus To Go unit, and at numerous events around the New York City area including the U.S. Open, Macy's 4th of July Spectacular, and Winter's Eve at Lincoln Square. Tanya also currently serves as Coordinator of the Big Apple Circus's Circus After School program, a community program that brings life skills through circus arts to underprivileged neighborhoods.
