Irene Ida is a jazz vocalist - born and raised on the Lower East Side of Manhattan.
She began singing at the age of 4. Her singing brought her local fame starting from her Jr. High School years as she appeared in musicals and went on to entertain audiences throughout the Tri State area at local restaurants.
Irene is a multitalented and accomplished singer with her extraordinary range and vocal styling comparable to Barbra Streisand, Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald and Frank Sinatra, she is an original artist in her own right. With over fifteen years of professional experience Irene's styling include Jazz, Cabaret, Broadway, Pop & Blues, but certainly is at home singing her extensive repertoire of Jazz Standards of the bygone era from "The Great American Songbook".
In the past Irene has performed at an impressive list of venues, including NYC's many local restaurants including Casa Bella, Rosie's Turn, Chelseas Place, Duplex, The Green Street Cafe, and became a regular at NYC's Broadway Baby. She married and moved to Westchester, NY. and now resides in Mt. Kisco. Irene put her career on hold to raise her three children and during this time has gone on to minor in music and Instrumental Ensemble at Westchester Community College under Professor Yan Pevzner who is solely responsible for orchestrating her fabulous Trio. She is now back with her amazing Trio to delight audiences with her elegant blend of vocals.
Irene has since gone on to perform for Fundraisers , Private Parties and appearing at various venues throughout Westchester County such as Emily Shaw's, The Canyon Club, Armonk, NY., LeChateau, South Salem, NY., Angelina's Rest. Tuckahoe, NY., and is frequently performing at The Olde Stone Mill in Tuckahoe, NY., Bella Gianna's Rest. in Congers, NY., & Bistro Six, Bronx. NY, The Pinnacle Restaurant at The Somers Pointe Country Club.
