The Christine Spero Group Jazz Band from Tannersville, NY

The Christine Spero Group performs the singer, pianist's vibrant vocal and instrumental material that fuses the styles and rhythms of Brazilian/Latin with Pop and Jazz. Their new CD, "My Spanish Dream", released in November, 2007 is receiving airplay in 20 countries. Along with their original material, their show includes the music of Sergio Mendes, Carlos Jobim, Ivan Lins, Laura Nyro, Tania Maria, James Taylor, and Marc Anthony and is electrifying and energetic, alive with soaring saxophone solos and rich with percussion. "The real essence of Christine is experienced in her live performances." She is the Winner of the USA Songwriting Competition/Jazz category and Finalist in the 2002 competition. Her fusion piece, "Therapy" has been published by Wild Whirled Music for use in television and film. The group has opened for Ray Vega, Bobby Matos, Kim Waters, Walter Beasley and The Woody Herman Orchestra.
