The New Legacy Jazz Band is one of America's premier full-time professional ensembles. Based in the Baltimore/Washington, the New Legacy Jazz Band performs throughout the mid-Atlantic region providing tasteful background and featured entertainment at festivals, weddings, Swing dances, corporate events, galas, fund-raisers, receptions, casinos, colleges, theatres and area hotels. Our distinguished resume includes receptions for General David Petraeus, Mrs. Ethel Kennedy, Australian Prime Minister John Howard, Mr. Louie Bellson, the Annapolis Boat Show, St. Michael's Food and Wine Festival, 81st Annual Baltimore Symphony Fund Raising Gala, Art Museums, Jazz Festivals, Senators, Congressmen and Ambassadors...
Sample wedding music services:
3:00 - 4pm, Solo piano for Prelude, Processional and Recessional;
4:00 - 5pm, Instrumental Duo for Cocktails;
5:00 - 9pm, 7 piece Band consisting of piano, bass, drums, three horns (sax/clarinet, muted trumpet, trombone) and female vocalist.
The New Legacy Jazz Band is self-contained and provides our own electronic piano which simulates the sound of an acoustic instrument. Our band has no special requirements other than direct access to electricity and armless chairs depending on the size of the group.
Our band plays approximately an hour at a time and has a cd player connected to our small sound system to provide appropriate background music during breaks (approx. 15 minutes).
