I have been singing many years for a variety of occasions: weddings, parties, receptions, dinners, etc. I began singing for people at the age of 17, in senior homes (I am familiar with the oldies material) and coffee houses (more country and popular). I have sung music from Elvis to the Bee Gees, from Glen Campbell to Stevie Wonder, but I specialize in the Rat Pack music, my voice being very similar to Frank Sinatra's. I know much of the American Song Book and have done several concerts dedicated to the music of famous American composers: Cole Porter, Irving Berlin, Richard Rogers, etc.
I have also sung many songs from Tom Jobim (Brazilian composer) like the Girl From Ipanema and One Note Samba. Since my mother was French, I have a repertoire of French songs, i.e. La Vie en rose, Et maintenant, La mer, etc. I also sing famous songs in Italian and Spanish.
I have sung for numerous weddings and can do Panis angelicus and Ave Maria (in Latin) and I can play organ, since I have worked as music director in different churches in Chicago. I know all the musical pieces that are commonly used in weddings: the Pachelbel Canon, the Trumpet Voluntary (Clarke), the Bridal March (Wagner), the Air (Bach), the Wedding March (Mendelssohn). I am a violinist as well, and have played in string quartets for a number of weddings.
I perform often with a jazz/classical pianist/composer, Bong Peñera. His playing is heard in my sound clips. When needed, I hire a bass player, a drummer, or any other musicians to make the event a special one. As a duo, trio or quartet, we will work with you to select a music program that will complement your event.
