The Maria Schafer Quartet is a meticulously-crafted jazz and pop band featuring a burning rhythm section and led by an award-winning vocalist. Check out our recordings and videos at ( ) to see what we're talking about! We add new videos and recordings of live and studio performances regularly, and are currently working on recording our debut album together.
Our performances range from elegant and entrancing ballads to magical moments in hard-swinging jazz standards to energetic sambas and pop grooves that compel people to leave their seats and dance. Our songbook includes many songs from the American jazz songbook, with burning blues, torchy ballads, jazz originals, and jazz arrangements of pop and funk tunes. Non-jazz/bossa song requests will be accommodated free of charge, given 2 weeks' advance notice. All jazz song requests will be accommodated given 1 week's notice.
Quotes provided are all-inclusive of the travel costs and time, equipment costs, preparation, and performance time including breaks for the requested jazz band combination, with choices including Maria Schafer (female vocalist), guitar, piano, bass, drums, and horns.

Maria was wonderful to work with, and so accommodating to my special requests. I listened to several vocal artists on line on Gigmasters and chose Maria for her beautiful voice. Maria sang jazz at my husband's 70th birthday luncheon in a private room at a restaurant. Everyone loved her! She sang a couple of songs acapela......outstanding. I have already recommended her to a friend.
