Jake holds a bachelors degree in Jazz Studies from Loyola University New Orleans and has experience playing music professionally in both Louisiana and Maine. He has played in a variety of settings from solo piano at the Roosevelt Hotel lobby to the experimental jazz group Noruz.

Words fall short of describing how perfect Jake Hickey performed during our wedding and reception. Throughout, he was aware of the situation and played accordingly. In advance he was very accommodating to our special requests and played them beautifully. They played both smooth jazz and more danceable songs that created the most perfect ambiance for our event. The vocalist had a beautiful voice that worked well with every song. All in all, Jake Hickey was very professional and he made the entire process, from beginning to end, a pleasurable and memorable experience. I would highly recommend Jake Hickey for any event. We are very happy with everything!!!

Jake and his band were absolutely perfect! The band started the night with some light Jazz during our catered dinner, and then picked it up when the time was right, and really got the party going. They had the whole place dancing! These guys really know how to read the situation and compliment the atmosphere of the event. 5 stars hands down!!
