Huntsville's In the Mood is one of the area's hottest jazz and swing orchestras. From Glenn Miller to Count Basie to Frank Sinatra, with Huntsville's In the Mood, your event will sizzle and swing all night long! Songs in our library include Glenn Miller's In the Mood, Pennsylvania 6-5000, The Pink Panther, Fly Me to the Moon, Beyond the Sea, Route 66, Moon River, La Cucaracha Mambo, A String of Pearls, Jumpin' at the Woodside and many more. Our band was inspired by the legacy of Glenn Miller and the groundbreaking sound that he discovered. We primarily founded the band with Glenn's major hits such as In the Mood (which the band was named after), A String of Pearls, Pennsylvania 6-5000, Tuxedo Junction, American Patrol and Moonlight Serenade. We then branched out to other popular big band and ballroom dance hits such as Beyond the Sea, Sentimental Journey and Misty. We also have more modern hits that were excitingly arranged for big band such as Route 66, Perdido, Moon River and Embraceable You. We also play latin hits, such as Cherry Pink & Apple Blossom White, La Cucaracha Mambo, Never on Sunday and Chica de Espana. The warm harmonies that we produce with these arrangements fill the air and really create an atmosphere of musical magic. We are available for banquets, cocktails, receptions, dances and concerts. Our music is perfect for pretty much any occasion!
