Welcome to the site of Pete Alba, jazz guitarist. Residing in Seattle since 2005, Pete cut his teeth learning jazz in New Orleans where he regularly performed and earned his master's degree in Jazz Performance. Performing both as a solo guitarist and with rhythm section backing tracks he created himself, Pete is able to control and adjust the band volume on a dime. Above are video and audio samples of his work. Pete likes to create the proper mood for romantic dinners and private parties. His set list includes such classics as "Don't Get Around Much Anymore", "Satin Doll", and "Fly Me To The Moon", to name a few but also has a few funky and blues and pop numbers up his sleeve. Pete's performing experience is vast and clients always note his professional appearance, seasoned performances (aside from playing well, a seasoned performer can read the audience and tailor the set to fit the mood) and punctuality. Many years of performing on Bourbon St, private parties as well as stints with casino bands in the PNW (OldSchool Fellas, The Pop Tarts) have prepared him well for any situation. He has also had the opportunity to play at The Boka Hotel Lounge (downtown Seattle) during a 6 month residency and also played in a top wedding band in New Orleans called Louisiana Spice. The 12 piece band performed hundreds of functions a year and even opened for The Neville Brothers one New Year's Eve.
