Susan Sandel joins Kevin as a vocal partner, for duo and small ensemble performances. Susan brings with her, a wealth of experience in vocal music, and acting for theater and film. Her repertoire includes swing, Latin jazz, and popular favorites, on which she applies her soothing and sultry vocal style. Kevin, a solo artist in his own right, lends his experience as a band leader and masterful guitarist, to form this seasoned duo, for weddings, corporate functions, private parties and clubs. Together, with their repertoire, they can be reminiscent of the classic recordings of Joe Pass and Ella Fitzgerald, or the magic of James Taylor with Carol King. Susan and Kevin also offer trio to full band ensemble formats.

Kevin played trumpet, cello, piano, and guitar by age twelve. As a young guitarist, he was the one in the band, counted on to figure out how to play the cover songs of the time. The various bands to which he contributed in the early years, performed in college functions, festivals, and night clubs around central Illinois, Indiana, and along the Mississippi River. Kevin studied music and electronics in college, while he worked as a solo guitarist, taught guitar, free lanced with several bands and as a studio musician. He was a member of the Central Illinois Jazz Society house band, The Dick Benson Organ trio, Jhaptal: a 10-piece jazz/percussion ensemble, and Slipstream, a popular club R&B band, led by Kevin. In Denver, he performed as a free lance guitarist and band leader, working for the popular Moments Notice Entertainment company. Kevin performed for many events, at times with guests including presidents, well known recording artists, and Hollywood dignitaries. Kevin later founded Archtop Music, LLC, as a platform for his music business, which launched his original recordings, and the band Swing Essence, a nostalgic jazz, rock, and swing band. Now back in Oregon, Kevin enjoys performing solo, accompanying other vocalists, and frequenting the local jam sessions.
