Eugene Marlow Jazz Ensemble from Brooklyn, NY

Eugene Marlow's Heritage Ensemble (duo to quintet) performs a broad range of repertoire, including selections from The Great American Songbook, and arrangements of traditional Hebraic melodies in various jazz, Afro-Caribbean, Brazilian, and classical styles. The Ensemble has recorded eight albums, including "Obrigado Brasil"--which was selected as a lead radio station WBGO premium in the Latin-jazz category, and "A Not So Silent Night" which received four stars in the December 2017 issue of DownBeat Magazine. The Ensemble members include: award-winning composer/arranger/pianist Eugene Marlow, 7X Grammy nominee drummer Bobby Sanabria, National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) Performance grantee saxophonist Michael Hashim, Phi Beta Kappa bassist Frank Wagner, and Nuyorican virtuoso percussionist Matthew Gonzalez. The Heritage Ensemble has performed together for 10 years in dozens of traditional venues (jazz clubs, performing arts centers, summer jazz festivals) and non-traditional venues (museums, educational institutions, churches, synagogues, and hotels). The Heritage Ensemble has been reviewed in over 50 print and online publications in the United States and internationally.
