Whether it be Jazz, R'n'B, Folk, or Pop/Rock, Mandy Ebel, with her Pianist/ Accompianist, L'il Hari, captivate crowds with their outstanding energy emitted through their performances. Mandy's rare and attractive vocals, along with this duo's first-class musical arrangements and impressive performances, will send shivers down your spine. Mandy often plays her Jazz/Soft Pop/Rock Set set with the phenominal pianist/composer, L'il Hari, (of their Electronica project Opal Stone). However often times Mandy plays her "Solo Acoustic Guitar Set", which is mostly made up of Mandy's Indie/Pop/Rock/Folk originals, and some of her R'n'B /Pop favourite covers. Mandy's inspirational lyrical content often relates to a personal experience, however a lot has to do with Mandy's perspective on life, after life, relationships between people, the importance of nature, the universe, and spirituality. On occasions Mandy is also accompanied by a stand up bowed bass player, and drummer, to meld together a smooth, yet edgy avant-guard acoustic trio. Mandy does a large variety of music styles, including soulful R'n'B, mellow Trip Hop, Jazz, fast paced Electronica, Reggae, Rock and Singer/ Songwriter- Folk, while at times singing World and Indian phrasings over her existing eclectic style. Mandy performs for a variety of events such as Lounges, Dining Venues, Weddings, Parties, Concerts, Coffee Shops and more. Mandy Ebel recently was chosen in 2008, along with 11 others in Canada, to receive a prestigious Music Award, called the "Fred Sherrat Award", by which MusiCan and CARAS ( Canadian Association of Recording Arts and Sciences) presented along with Founder of CTV Globe Media, Fred Sherrat. Mandy was elected for such an award due to her outstanding efforts, music performing abilities and her credible song-writing skills, which became obvious throughout her time spent completing the Contemporary Music and Technology Program at Selkirk College in Nelson, BC. Mandy recently received her Vocal Performance Diploma, as well as her Recording Engineering Diploma while attending the College, and throughout that, she has been busy performing her solo material, while writing and recording new songs with Opal Stone.
