The Dollybirds operate first and foremost from a love of creating music and will go above and beyond to ensure your event is better than you could have imagined. The Dollybirds are recording artist, Alexandra Jack and studio musician and composer Chris Halo. They are a dream team and the real deal. Alexandra Jack is best known for her warm, rich, vocal tone and passionate performances drawn from a lifetime performing Pop, Jazz, and Musical Theater. She is a singer-songwriter, plays guitar and piano, and can be found delivering show-stopping performances throughout the greater Los Angeles area on any given evening. With over 10 years of professional guitar experience, Chris Halo is an incredible one man band. His lengthy resume includes songwriting, vocal performance, music production, composing and arrangement, and touring performances overseas and on television. Alexandra and Chris initially formed The Dollybirds for charity benefit, and found a mutual appreciation for the organic pairing of voice and guitar. They began the road as "The Dollybirds" with jazz standards and have since snowballed into a live, versatile jukebox of every type of modern popular music. The Dollybirds love extending their performance into a full band and frequently perform with bass, drums, piano, and horns. In their two short years as The Dollybirds, Alexandra and Chris have performed at engagement parties, rehearsal dinners, wedding ceremonies, wedding receptions, restaurants, jazz clubs, corporate events, holiday parties, colleges, elementary schools, senior centers, and fundraisers. This spring they received their first radio play with a cover of "Can't Help Falling In Love With You" by Elvis Presley. The Dollybirds Band opened for a DJ Set from Taboo of The Black Eyed Peas at this year's C.H.O.C. Glass Slipper Fundraiser Gala in Newport Beach, California. Later this year The Dollybirds Duo will be touring in celebration of their first jazz record, "Meet The Dollybirds" which includes a selection of full band original jazz tunes, and live duo covers. In combination with live performances, The Dollybirds are able to offer Emcee Services, Customizable Playlist DJ services, Professional Sound w/ Engineer, Staging and Lighting and carry Liability insurance with Liberty Mutual.
