The Sonja Lee Band plays a fantastic blend of jazz, blues, R&B, rock and original tunes. With an extensive song list, we are able to accommodate quite a variety of tastes. We can provide a simple trio for an intimate/smaller event or the full band for the ultimate experience. We are frequently hired to play dances and also are available for private events and parties. We have an excellent reputation in the community and enjoy playing at some of the areas finest venues. This band is fronted by Sonja Lee, a powerhouse of a singer whose evocative, smoky voice runs the gamut of emotions from sweet and sassy to earthy, sultry and full of fire. She has been wowing music critics and listeners alike since her first CD released in 2012. Sonja has assembled a band filled with high caliber talent. Bassist, Robert "Goldtooth" Ray, has played for over 45 years and is a master of his craft. Drummer, Grant Wilson, is one of the Northwest's most tasteful drummers with his vast knowledge of different dance rhythms and styles and his ability to backup a singer without over-powering an audience. Guitarist, Tim Volpicella, joined the band in 2017-2018. and plays with some of the areas best dance bands and is the most recent addition to the Sonja Lee Band.
