The Revisionists are an award-winning jazz and swing band with original arrangements inspired by all your favorites--from Billie Holiday and Duke Ellington to Nina Simone and Frank Sinatra. Whatever you need, we can deliver; whether that's beautiful cocktail-hour ambiance or music that will inspire an active dance floor. Our second album "Together Again" was released following our headlining performance at Lincoln Center. We were the proud recipients of The Bash's "Best of 2022 Award", "2019 Rising Star Award" and were unanimously named the WINNERS of the inaugural Count Basie Great American Swing Contest. The members of The Revisionists are at the very top of their field and can be heard performing on Grammy award-winning albums, on Broadway stages, at renowned music festivals, in celebrated jazz clubs, and backing up today's top artists and celebrities. We've performed at major NYC landmarks including the Rainbow Room at Rockefeller Center, Lincoln Center, Sony Hall, The Plaza Hotel, the historic Alhambra Ballroom, Cipriani, Gotham Hall, The New York Times Building, The Ziegfeld Ballroom, Gotham Hall, The Ritz-Carlton, and the Tiffany and Co. Flagship Store, The Guggenheim for their 60th Anniversary, City Winery, & more. You can also hear us perform at the top-tier jazz clubs in New York City including the Blue Note NYC, Birdland Jazz Club, Dizzy's Club at Jazz at Lincoln Center, and more. We also serenade guests at intimate celebrations like weddings and birthdays. You can listen to both of our albums, available on all streaming services. By request, the ensemble can be customized to meet your specific needs. Our standard 7-piece band includes both Female & Male Vocalists, a dynamite horn section (Trumpet, Alto Saxophone/Clarinet, Trombone), and a driving rhythm section (Piano, Upright Bass, Drums). Depending on your needs, we can perform as a light, acoustic trio or and even as an authentic 17-piece big band!
