Piano and Bass duo Jazz Duo from Bethesda, MD

Jeff Cooper, bass, and Glenn Pearson, piano, have been friends and professional musicians for over 40 years. After meeting in high school we both attended Peabody Conservatory of Music. During our college days and after we formed several bands together in the Washington DC area. Later Jeff went to New York to pursue a successful Broadway career and Glenn stayed in DC to become one of the most sought after society pianists and band leaders. But we often returned to our true passion- engaging audiences with our talent, wit, and style to share our love for iconic American music. In 2016 Notes on the Beach , the name of our duo,decided also to take our love of music to the Eastern shore. Our goal was to expose our varied musical styles to assorted venues at the beach. What we have found out is that there is indeed a market for what we do and the number of repeat clients confirmed as much. Notes on the Beach specializes in playing standards, swing, jazz , show tunes and contemporary songs. And for certain occasions we can expand our duo by adding either a saxophone, drums or guitarist/singer. Whatever configuration you want we promise to bring to you our true passion and make your event a successful one.
