The Jeremy Wendelin Group is an extraordinary musical project, created to play the kind of jazz that audiences love to hear - jazz that is melodic and adventurous at the same time. From the classic jazz of Brubeck, Coltrane, and Miles Davis to reinterpretations of fusion and funk; from timeless tunes to originals; from free improvisation to elaborate arrangements, the music is entertaining and exciting; it challenges artists and inspires listeners. The JW Quartet is composed of four outstanding improvisers who create playful, intricate, even passionate solos. But the group is more than just a collection of soloists: we play songs and arrangements that frame the individual contributions, tell a larger story, and draw the audience into our musical world. In addition to the quartet, Jeremy leads smaller groups (duos and trios) that offer the same swinging beat and joyous intensity for any performance situation or event.
