We are that band who understands that magic: The James Gordon Williams Ensemble, led by award winning Manhattan pianist and composer James Gordon Williams is comprised of the best musicians in New York City and the tri-state area and beyond. Our musicians always play together which means that our band always sounds 'tight'. The JGWENSEMBLE appears in different instrumental configurations including solo piano, bass and piano duo, jazz quartet(saxophone,piano,bass and drums), quintet, and big band(17 musicians). Upon clients' request, we also feature an award winning vocalist who voice has been described as sonic velvet.The music repertoire of the JGWENSEMBLE includes, but is not limited to, original and standard Jazz songs, Broadway Show tunes, Latin, Motown hits, classical music, and Caribbean music. Though we are primarily known as a Jazz Ensemble, the JGWENSEMBLE excels at all music we perform.
