California Jazz Rebellion come with an extensive list of music pedigrees and performance credits, but it seems all that experience has made a monster out of this ensemble! Rooted in the most classic of jazz styles, CJR is notorious for reimagining standards with a completely fresh new sound. Conversely, you may hear them take a current hit and bring it back in time nearly a century without ever questioning if the song was a pop hit from the 1920's or today. CJR rebel from the esotericism of traditional Jazz. Their sound breathes new life into what has slowly become “musician's music” and playing it for the masses.
