THE HEARTSTRING HUNTERS
“The Heartstring Hunters are a young energetic band who are taking on the world. Their blend of pop and folk create an energetic brand of music rarely heard amongst the more conservative folk-grass bands of the modern era.” -Colorado Central Magazine
"With Carolyn Hunter's light, dancing vocals as its centerpiece, The Heartstring Hunters' debut release is a showcase of the creative minds of Hunter and her husband/guitarist Daniel Hunter. The songs come across as quite sanguine, even when they sing about the realities of life like they do on “Rich In Love.” The album is, as they say, “an adventure that dances between the space of the open road and a midnight sky.” - The Marquee
"An odyssey of love. Rich harmonies, youthful optimism, and laid back grooves fuse the spirit of Laurel Canyon with the band's more diverse influences of jazz, rock, and modern folk. - Cdbaby

"They played for my daughter's farm wedding last Saturday and it was absolutely magical! They were so kind to learn a few special songs for the first dances. Everybody loved them!" -Marlys Nieman Lietz
"Great songwriting and performance at Boulder Farmers market. Actually, stunning - brought to tears! Bought a CD because I felt like I was stealing something getting to hear you perform for free. Truly a band prime for the big time. Every song I have been listening to is brilliant if not haunting. Definitely going to the next show when in Denver or Boulder again. Musicality of lead singer is way above the pay grade and band is tight, balanced and this at a farmers market..." - Mark Fallon
"The first time I saw Carolyn play completely live, was at my brother's wedding in 2009. She sat alone and played her acoustic guitar. After a harpist. And had the family in friends in tears. I remember thinking to myself, she's going to sing at my wedding. Low and behold, a year later... she did. We spoke about personal songs and some of favorites that I wanted. She took the time to master them all on her own. And played beautiful music as I was walking down the aisle in this massive church. Marriage is a special moment to cherish. And having her sing these simple songs made me take a deep breath and feel at ease. I would give her the utmost recommendation for anyone and everyone who wants to have the voice of an angel." - Erin Keefe
