A talented and easygoing performer with a diverse repertoire, Samantha brings a unique feel to your events with a high degree of professionalism. Samantha is highly versatile with almost 20 years of performance experience. Classically trained at the Eastman School of Music, she has also performed with recording artists McCoy Tyner, Olivia Newton-John and Connie Francis. Her breadth of performance experience and deft abilities as an arranger guarantee that she can provide you with the right type of music for your event—elegant classical music for a cocktail party, spirited jazz standards for a birthday celebration, Muppet music for your cousin's baby shower, or even your favorite Radiohead tune for walking down the aisle! Above all else, Samantha values professionalism. Her goal is to enhance your event by providing high quality music that's worry-free. Not sure exactly what you want? Samantha can work with you to identify the right kind of music for your event, whether it's classical, jazz, pop, rock, indie, folktronica (yes, really!) or something else entirely. In addition to extensive solo work, Samantha has performed with myriad symphony orchestras, chamber ensembles, choral ensembles, pit orchestras and studio orchestras. She's performed in the orchestras for popular touring shows like Video Games Live and A Salute to Vienna. She excels at work where rehearsals are limited and flexibility is key, and she's always up for playing with different styles of music with different musicians. Samantha has performed and recorded with a host of bands in and around the Philly area, and she regularly performs in combination with flutists, violinists, vocalists, other harpists, and even a tubist! In fact, she makes up one-quarter of The Wittchen Initiative, a unique band featuring two harps, voice and tuba. They play a blend of jazz standards, rock, and original indie chamber tunes.
