Robin Arioto Fickle Harpist from Morrisville, PA

Adding an elegant touch of harp music to your special occasion is professional harpist, teacher, composer and recording artist, Robin Arioto Fickle. An experienced musician Robin has regularly performed for weddings, receptions and special events for over twenty years. Her musical style is expressive, accessible and innovative. In her hands the sonorous capabilities of the harp are masterfully expressed. She plays both Concert (Orchestral) and Celtic Harp tailoring her repertory to the tastes of her clients. Robin's recording of original compositions and adaptations of traditional music from the Mediterranean world, Mediterranean Journey, received critical acclaim on radio and in reviews and she has published several books of harp music including one for weddings: Wedding Wishes; Renaissance Gems; Renaissance Songes of the Merrie Cavalier; Renaissance Songes of the Merrie Jester; and Christmas Jewels. Please be aware that her diverse repertory also includes many classical favorites not listed in these books as well. Robin began her classical training in music at age five on piano and pursued her orchestral harp studies with the former chair of the American Harp Society's National Competition, JoAnn Turovsky, Adjunct Professor of Harp at the University of Southern California and the late Suzanne Balderston, former faculty member of the University of Southern California at Santa Barbara and California State University, Northridge. Robin is both a harpist and an art historian who currently serves on the faculty at Arcadia University. She also currently teaches harp at her home studio in Yardley, PA. Combining her interests in both music and art Robin has given lectures on the history of the harp at workshops as well as at some concerts locally and in CA.
