Meg Rodgers has been performing for events since 1992. She is the Principal Harpist with the LaPorte County Symphony and the
South Shore Orchestra as well as a frequent substitute with the Southwest Michigan Symphony, South Bend Symphony,
Rockford, IL Symphony, and other orchestras throughout MI, IN, and IL.
She holds a M.M. in Harp Performance from Northwestern University and a B.M. in Harp Performance from DePauw University.
She also studied in Vienna Austria with Adhelaide Blovsky-Miller, the principal harpist with State Opera, and spent a summer
at the Salzedo Harp Colony studying with Alice Chalifoux. She has performed with Dennis DeYoung, Amy Grant, and Time for Three as well
as many other touring ensembles.
What sets Meg apart from other harpists is her confidence and ability to bring to fruition the needs of the client. Meg possesses an extensive
repertoire and an ability to learn quickly. If there is a piece requested in that is not in her repertoire, she will do her best to find it and learn it
while focusing on what sounds best on the harp. Meg is there to consult with and recommend appropriate music choices and aid in making the
selection process simple and painless.
Whatever the event, be it wedding, reception, corporate, or private party, harp music can make it memorable and Meg will make planning it easier.
