Michael Barry is an eclectic classical guitarist performing a wide range of music including the standard classical repertoire, Brazilian, folk, jazz and pop arrangements, as well as world and new age. Performing and recording for over 25 years, Michael has performed at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Montreal Jazz Festival, The New York Open Center, The Carnival Caribe in Cartegena and the Heimetklange in Berlin, to name but a few. He is available to perform as a soloist or in various combinations including: Guitar & Flute, Guitar, Flute and Bass, Classical Guitar Trio, or with his eclectic world ensemble, Inscape.
Michael has performed at dozens of weddings, private parties, receptions, galleries, festivals, cultural centers and more. He has 3 albums released featuring his guitar playing and arrangements, and he was recently nominated for a Tibetan music award for his most recent album, Night Wheel. Michael resides in New York, where he is the director of the International Studio of Music, and a former president of the New York City Classical Guitar Society.
