Tampa Bay Guitarist Dr. Jimmy Moore has been a featured artist at many international guitar and music festivals, including: The Siena Sessions for Music in Siena, Italy; the Tennessee Guitar Festival in Murfreesboro, TN; the National Guitar Summer Workshop in Nashville, TN; and The Rathaus in Weissenburg in Bayern, Germany. He is also a repeat performer with the South Georgia Performing Arts Ballet and the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra.

Dr. Jimmy Moore is a very accomplished solo performer, having won awards in guitar competitions on the state, regional, and national levels. These awards include: National Finalist for the Music Teachers National Association's (MTNA) Collegiate Guitar Competition; Winner of the Tennessee Music Teacher Association's Collegiate Guitar Competition in Nashville, TN; and First Prize at the Beethoven Association 25th Anniversary Young Artist Competitionin Memphis, TN.
Having earned a Doctor of Music Degree in Classical Guitar Performance from Florida State University. Dr. Moore has dedicated his life to the guitar. While studying at Florida State University, he served as a teaching assistant to the world-renowned guitarist/pedagogue Bruce Holzman. He has studied in master classes with Pepe Romero, William Kanengiser, Eduardo Fernandez, Andrew York, David Leisner, Ernesto Bitetti, Oscar Ghiglia, and David Tannenbaum. For his doctoral treatise he presented a lecture and performance based on Justin Holland, America's Pioneer of the Classical Guitar.
Dr. Jimmy Moore is in great demand as a guitar teacher and has taught master classes in multiple styles. He has founded various guitar programs in the Tampa Bay Area; Nashville,TN; Tallahassee,FL; and Southern Georgia. He currently manages a thriving private guitar studio in St Pete, FL. His students range from beginner to collegiate to professional to retiree.
