Jim McCutcheon is a career guitarist based in Dayton, OH. He is Artist-in-Residence in Guitar at the University of Dayton, and also teaches at Wright State University and Miami University in Oxford and Middletown. His music appeals to people of all ages, and he has appeared on artist series, community concert series and his programs for children have been performed in schools as well as county fairs, children's concert series, etc. He also enjoys playing at weddings, after-dinner programs and background music for dinners and social events. He won a Parents Choice Silver Award for his CD "A Day with the Guitar Man" and several other awards listed on his website. Hie repertoire ranges from classical music (J.S. Bach, Vivaldi, Pachelbel, etc.) to show tunes (Somewhere Over the Rainbow, Sunrise,Sunset, etc.) to light jazz (Girl from Ipanema, St. Louis Blues, the Pink Panther Theme, etc.) to folk and popular vocals (John Denver, Jim Croce, the Beatles, etc.).
