James was easy to work with and was a perfect choice for our event! We hired James to provide background music at an association banquet for 135 at Pack's Tavern's Century Room. He was familiar with the venue and arrived early to set up and rehearse. His selections were on point for our group.

Our wedding was made complete with the talented Jim Barr!!!! I can't say enough about him!!! The music for my daughter's wedding was beautiful. James contacted her and was able to help her plan a very individualized musical event to fit the couple perfectly.My daughter walked in to the Beatles " Here comes the sun", which brought many smiles and tears to all! My daughter and son-in-law both were delighted with the music and we had many compliments from guests. The music made the outdoor wedding flow beautifully. James was able to accommodate not having power by having his own battery operated equipment, and was a huge help to my daughter to fit her selections of music to the occasion. James Barr was the perfect musician for our daughter's wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. The acoustic guitar is such a romantic and intimate way to add music to your ceremony and is perfect for a cocktail hour. James plays beautifully and learned my daughter's request for her processional which was a very special moment during the wedding when the groom realized he was playing "their song!" James was very professional, sent me CD's to help in music selection and uploaded the song he was learning for us so we could hear it. He was very responsive and a great musician. He plays the classics, the Beatles and modern selections for a great variety. Hire him!
