GRAND ISLE FIRE BRIGADE LOVES TO PLAY OKTOBERFEST! But in summer we get asked to do all kinds of events. And there’s no other band like this one. We have an extensive list of historical Americana, endless waltzes and polkas, a little traditioanl Dixieland, Second Line Memorials, and 1920’s speakeasy music. We can even do sing-alongs with tunes like Sweet Caroline, YMCA, In Heaven There Is No Beer, Obla di Obla da, Take me Out to the Ball Game and Patriotic Melodi suitable for Memorial Day, Veterans Day or to commemorate a loved one. We has also added a street drummer for wedding day “Second Line” Parades (Oh dem Golden Slippers, Mardi Gras song, Here Comes the Sun, When You’re Smiling). Many of these genres came at the suggestion of our customers, so if you have a special song request, a unique promotion, and a little lead time we may be able to arrange the song of your choice for a special event. We are still entirely mobile and require no amplification, so if you want to have a wedding, memorial, party or surprise event in a place without electricity or roads, no other band can bring it like GIFB!
