Erisa Rei is a roots singer-songwriter from Spring Hill, TN, whose music seems to ring from the past when good music was more important than making a lot of money. Erisa Rei writes music and performs, just because she loves it- not because she has an unquenchable thirst for money, power or fame. There is no plastic, no cheese, no sugarcane in cellophane invading her persona or her music. She desires that the essence of her old-soul, her experiences and what she ponders on to infiltrate the songs that she writes.
Erisa Rei will be recording her first full-length blues/roots-rock release in the fall of 2011. . Her first blues/roots-rock release was the EP, "Backwards" (2007). The 4-song project won the "Best International Adult Contemporary EP" award in the 2007 Toronto Exclusive Magazine Awards. The single from the EP, "Backwards" also hit #17 on the Roots Music Charts in IL in September 2007 without any radio promotion. Erisa Rei won an honorable mention for the best music of 2007 at as well as being a featured artist on that site and a handful of others.
While these accomplishments are enough to make her proud, she finds greater joy in performing live. So if you like honest lyrics sang by an emotive, raw voice then check out her music and help a gal out by buying a few tracks. Even better, come to one of her live show. She always puts her whole heart and her "old-soul" into each performance.
