Omar Avalos Flamenco Flamenco Guitarist from Santa Ana, CA

I'm a Certified Advanced Flamenco Guitarist from the Taller Flamenco in Seville, Spain where I studied with Lito Espinosa. I've appeared on Univision and LATV in Los Angeles with singer Alex Ubago of Spain and I've performed in the LA area for over 15 years. I also performed in Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico in 2006. I compose and perform ALL of my flamenco guitar repertory in the styles of Paco de Lucía, Tomatito, Cañizares, Vicente Amigo et al, and arrange some Latin jazz standards ranging from South American to Mexican repertory. I also compose and arrange for modern classical guitar and perform classical guitar repertory by Manuel M. Ponce, Jorge Cardozo, Heitor Villa-Lobos, Julio César Oliva, Antonio Lauro and others. I enjoy improvising and accompanying myself on Latin jazz standards and rumba flamenca jazz style guitar tunes by Strunz & Farah, The Gypsy Kings, Lara & Reyes and more. I also provide sound equipment for an event hall, or equipment small enough for a cafe type of gig.
