Originating from Brooklyn, New York, Bloom (Michael Blumenfeld) is one of the most versatile emerging artists in the New York City dance scene. He got his start throwing parties and Dj'ing at a young age, placing him onstage with artists like Talib Kweli and Dead Prez by the time he was only 20 years old. Since then, he has tackled the New York City club circuit with residencies at world-renowned clubs like Output, Le Bain, and Finale. This year alone he has shared the stage with legendary artists like Hudson Mohawke, Prefuse 73, Sbtrkt, LVis-1990, and Nick Hook.
As an audio engineer, and as a producer at the Red Bull Music Studios in New York, Bloom's knowledge of different genres and recording techniques have placed him at the controls with the likes of El-P, Danny Brown, Machinedrum & Jimmy Edgar, Robyn S., Drop the Lime, Skrillex, Boyz Noise, etc... Looking to expand his outlook beyond just NYC, Bloom currently is planning several original releases on respected international dance labels, and looks to bring his brand of tasteful and varied dance music sets to the international stage.
His talent doesn't stop in clubs however, Bloom also offers a wide variety of private event services. He has Dj'ed high profile art events in Chelsea and corporate events in midtown and the Financial District.
