I am a Houston artist who has been face painting since 2011 . I was introduced to this art when I was 13 and when I was 16 I started my own business. I didn't think of it as a business when I started, just me going to parties and painting the kids. First event I was ever paid for I remember buying me a nice set of brushes. Everything I was making painting the kids, I invested back into my business. New brushes, the best and highest quality of face paint. My first two years were a learning curve. I learned about carrying insurance, proper professional face paint, staying on top of the business by always knowing what kids are watching. It was a fun learning curve and I continue to learn more and more every year. This is my 7th year painting. I use everything available to me to make the best face painting for my clients- which are of course your kids. I love working with kids. I love when I show them in the mirror what I have created and they are wowed. They keep coming back to look in the mirror, and that is how I know I choose the right career. Face painting is not my side job as some people sometimes ask, face painting to me is my career, my passion; face painting to me is what I love doing. Some people are doctors, some others are musicians. I am an artist. What sets me aside from other painters in my area is my passion. I love what I do and everyone around me can tell. I transmit positive vibes and kids are very comfortable around me. Everything I do, I do with a great passion and great professionalism. Yes my face painting skills are great because I practice all the time, but my attitude and professionalism is really why I am still in business after all these years.
