I am Erika the Senior Planner/Owner of Erika's Elegance which is a Full Service Wedding & Event Planning Company which specializes in event planning and coordination, design and décor. Our experience includes planning major celebratory events such as weddings, birthday parties, bridal and baby showers, wedding and business anniversaries, corporate meetings and events, non-profit events, silent auctions, bridal show, galas, and bone marrow drives. My goal is to breathe life into my client's dreams and deliver a day that they will remember for years to come.
Our client is very important to us and we are driven to planning an event that is designed to fit their personality and style. We begin by pouring ourselves into understanding your wants and needs in order to determine an overall theme and concept for your event. We then take the lead on planning all of the details for your big day so that you can enjoy the planning process and walk away relaxed knowing that we are working on your behalf. In addition to theme development, we help with budgets and budget tracking, vendor selection and follow-up, contract review and negotiations, guest list review and RSVP tracking, design development, event timeline development and management, and production management. Our other services include providing décor, floral arrangements, and custom stationery. After working with my client's I feel as though we are like family. I often find myself building lasting relationships which is an awesome feeling. I have a huge heart and love for people. That along with my southern roots/upbringing and my love for flawless event execution is key to setting us apart. I believe in being transparent at Erika's Elegance and creating a comfortable environment.
I also attribute my success and keen eye for detail to my background in Accounting and Project Management spending over 15 years in corporate and teaching in the Business and Project Management Programs at a college level. It is an absolute dream to mesh both my corporate experience and creativity in order to be a very detailed oriented planner. Who wouldn't love doing two of their favorite things?
I have obtained my certification in Wedding Consulting from Penn Foster College as a Certified Professional Bridal Consultant and is a member of the Associated Bridal Consultants (ABC). I also hold a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accountancy and a Master of Business Administration. I volunteer with a non-profit organization called Brides Against Breast Cancer committed to providing services to those impacted by cancer as their Los Angeles City Coordinator and hold the position of Membership Database Manager for the Orange County ABC Local Networking Group.
I am so glad that over 18 years ago my friend asked me to plan her wedding. She and others saw in me something that I didn't know I had or would eventually love to do and for that I am so grateful. I am thoroughly pleased and excited that I am able to breathe life into client's dreams daily.
