The African Dance Orchestra(A.D.O) was organized by Mr. F. Varney Kanneh, Liberia's most famous performer/musician in 1990 on parkhill avenue, Staten Island, New York/USA. A.D.O have members from all over the continent of africa namely, Liberia, Zaire, Cameroon, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Mali, Jamaica, Guinea, etc. The A.D.O is composed of professional musicians, as well as dancers with a lot of international stage appearance cridentials, like appearances on Amnesty International's 60th Anniversary, 1988 in Ivory Coast, with Bruce Springstein, Tracy Chapman, Johnny Clegg and the Savuka Band of South Africa, Alpha Blondy, Aicha Kone, Ismeal Isaac, just to name a few. Members of the A.D.O. are also professional cultural dancers from each of the countries that they represent in the group. We all are cultural representatives of each of our countries that made up this group(the african dance orchestra).
We play soukous, from Zaire, makossa of cameroon, highlife of ghana, reggae of Jamaiaca, roots and rhythm from Liberia, coupe de cali of Ivory Voast, jazz etc. And over all we have dancers that will rock your world. Live entertainment is our specialty.
