I like to play a wide variety of music. I love the old standards typified by Sinatra, Bennet, Krall and others. Classic movie themes are another favorite of mine. I also love the Brazillian music (like Antonio Carlos Jobim). I learned to play some classical music at the age of 7 but have conscientiously avoided reading music since I was about 14 and now play completely by ear. I have composed a lot of music and have 5 CD's on iTunes, Amazon, and CDbaby.
I have a dry sense of humor and enjoy interacting with people. I spent 60 years in the Los Angeles area and played at Tony Danza's "My Place" restaurant, The Alley Cat Bistro, Alphonses (in Toluca Lake), and several venues in Newport Beach, Glendale, Encino and Thousand Oaks. I did some movie sideline gigs in "The Way We Were", Mannix (TV), Roots II and others. I play in church every Sunday, perform at Weddings, parties, tea parties, coffee houses, resorts etc.
I've been playing once or twice a month at The Gaia Shasta Resort's Woodside Grill in Anderson, California for the last 3 years. Enjoy playing at art openings and private parties.
