Las Vegas-based Fans of Jimmy Century is an original band performing originals and cover music they describe as modern noir, modern torch, cocktail cool, & modern groove. Signed to a 2-single deal with Universal Music Group in 2013-2014, they eventually chose to start self-releasing in 2015. The FOJC original song, the James Bond-esque “Delicate Fever,” was most recently heard in the Warner Bros. film “Get Hard,” starring Will Ferrell and Kevin Hart. Their newest singles “Lips On Mine,” and “Blackout,” were featured on the Grammy ballot in the Electronic Dance Music category. The band (Alicia Perrone on vocals, Victor James on bass, and Steve Walker on drums & percussion,) has been a featured performer for Gulfstream Aerospace, Cirque du Soleil, a residency at the Palms Resort and Casino & many others. Their basic trio is extremely versatile, performing in various formats as a duo, trio, foursome with keyboardist Jimarillo Miller, and with dancers or without. They perform acoustic sets as well. FOJC's drummer also doubles as their DJ.
They are skilled at everything from jazz standards to trip hop to hip, cool modern & retro lounge to more upbeat dance atmospheres. FOJC also excels at performing themed shows with different costumes and aliases. Different themes performed in the past include The Pinup (Red Riding Hood) & The Wolves, Jessica Rabbit & The Weasels, The Bond Girl & The 007's, Casual Cool Modern Jazzy, and Black Tie Formal.
