In the amber glow of firelight, dancer Angelica Faith captivates audiences with a blend of refined technique, sensual moves, and passionate storytelling. Skillfully wielding fire fans, balancing bowl, palm torches, fire staff, double staffs, and spinning wands, her performance is versatile and exciting. Her talent for choreography sets her apart, as she utilizes a unique combination of tools, dynamic music styles, and an array of dance influences. Vibrant, thrilling, and enchanting, Angelica's performance will dazzle a variety of venues; ever resourceful, she can adapt her show to be fire-free for indoor performances.
Along with other members of her talented friends and family, she co-founded the troupe Pyrate Technics, an enchanting band of fire-spinning rogues and gypsies. They have performed at dozens of venues since 2009, premiering at esteemed events such as the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Blood Moon Regale, Redding Fire Festival, and All's Faire. The troupe is devoted to fire-safety, and promotes the NAFAA safety guidelines.
Fascinated with dance at an early age, Angelica immersed herself in the art of movement, taking classes that ranged from gymnastics and ballet, to tai chi and kung fu. In her teen years, she began study in classic ballroom dance, focusing particularly on swing and salsa. Encouragement from friends helped her discover a talent for belly dance, and a love of tribal fusion. At the age of twenty, she witnessed her first fire show. Within months, her fingers were blistered from practice with fire fans and a lifelong passion for dance transcended.
She continues her study of dance and is dedicated to the enrichment of art. Frequently, she takes belly dance and yoga classes and has expanded to study modern and hip hop dance. Choreography is one of her most fervent passions, and she is skilled in both costume and jewelry design.
