Monica Bassi is a multinational TV Host and Speaker with a rich personal and professional background. Alongside a thriving career in Information Systems Management she has crafted a side-career in media. Presently, Monica is taking the stage and empowering audiences with strategies to live life with confidence, compassion, and conviction. She is available for events as a Keynote/Motivational Speaker, Seminar Leader, Industry Speaker, and an MC.
Monica Bassi is an ambitious and accomplished woman who comes from humble beginnings. She is one of four children in her family and was raised with modest means and a strong work ethic. At the young age of 16 she managed to trade in her senior year of high school for her freshman year at University. It was at University that she learned to balance her passion with her responsibilities. Monica was an active member, and on the Executive Board, of several student organizations. Meanwhile, she completed her degree in Management Information Systems at the age of 20 and entered the world of Corporate America.
Monica quickly learned the skills necessary to thrive in an office environment. Being the youngest employee, female, and a minority, she faced, and overcame, several hurdles before her voice would be heard. At 26 she became the Director of her department and was tasked with building a team, processes, and leading them both. Monica spent her weekends training professionals on how to excel in their professional lives. Her motivation to work hard was to pay off a house she had purchased for her parents, and by age 28 she did just that.
Monica has since established a real estate portfolio, ran her own business, traveled to 23 countries, and produced a plethora of media content. What makes her interesting is not what she has achieved, but what she had to overcome in order to achieve it. There were no handouts or freebies. Against the odds, Monica learned strategies that cemented her success in every endeavor.
Monica moved to New York City to continue growing in the realm of media. She began working with multinational networks Zee TV and B4U where she would write and host several television shows. Two of Monica's short films also enjoyed their premiere at various film festivals across North America. Currently, she produces and hosts a series for TV Asia titled 'Meatless America' where she taps into the unexplored world of vegetarian and vegan dining.
In her personal life she is a mother to a vibrant 1 year old girl and an advocate for animal rights. Her secret to doing it all is a 'can do' attitude, mindfulness, a vegan diet, and mastering the concept of time management.
Whether it is about leadership in the workplace, breaking one's own barriers, health and wellness, a comedic performance, or learning the delicate art of balance, Monica is equipped to entertain and empower audiences. She has taken her own story and coupled it with what she has learned about humanity through her rich experiences and travels and turned it into a series of talks. Monica brings eloquence, charisma, and professionalism with her on stage.
A born leader, life has neither started nor is anywhere near complete for her. Everything Monica has accomplished has been a product of her fierce determination. From maintaining a progressive career in Management to making strides in media and growing as a Speaker, Monica continues to push her limits and live every experience to the fullest.
