My journey as a Tribute artist, well first my name is Tulsa Maclean and l began performing at the age of sixteen also is when l met Elvis Tribute Artist Garry Wesley and after watching his show for a number of years it moved me to perform the music of Elvis. I did and had other great music artist who l like to listen to such as Chuck Berry , Little Richard, Roy Orbison and those are just a few to mention.However l remeber one night when talking with Garry he once told me what it was like to perform the music of Elvis and what got him into performaning, l remember saying wow. I later thought and knew that l wanted to perform the music of Elvis Presley as well. Today my shows and performances are at Retirement Centers, Birthday parties,Weddings and or Promo & Private events.
Well that is my short story how l got stated as Tribute Artist to a legend who lives on in our hearts to this day.
My show is a Las Vegas style performance from the 70's era but not limited to just that era l also do a performance from the 50's. The 70's performance consists of show lasting appox. hour 1/2 long with handing out scarves and joking with guest and at the end of the show sign scraves and have a photos taken. There are 300+ Elvis Music tracks in our catalog ranging from Gospel to Christmas,Movie and Ballads.
The performance of Elvis' Concert years include songs like Burning Love ,Suspicious Minds TeddyBear/Don't be Cruel C.C.Rider Polk Salad Annie and the heart touching end song Can't Help Falling in Love to close out the show. Scarves are handed out at each show and during the show you may request a song.
My show (Tulsa's) will bring you back to the music of Elvis Presley a legend who is in a category of his own....

He was a very weak performer, and his audio was very bad, nobody could hear him, and when you could his voice sounded very muffled, and out of tune! We had 400 very disappointed guests. We don't recomemend him, as he was late getting on the stage to perform, and can't hit the notes at all! Not to mention this was a gift to my parents for their 50th Wedding Anniversary! We also tipped him,because we felt very bad that nobody was clapping, and he didn't even thank my fiance for taking care of him, because I think he was too embarrassed that nobody was listening to him!

We here at Tulsa Maclean "Tribte to Elvis" staff are very sorry that the show did not go very well. The building that the show took place was in a firehouse bay made of concrete and brick so it made the sound system hard to hear with such a big area. As for being late we started at specified time listed on our contract. As for not thanking Mr.Chasby for having us at there event our staff did thank him. I thought that Tulsa was extremely professional. He was there on time and worked with us on everything that we asked of him. He stayed after for some pictures which was also nice. I really liked how he gave my wife his scarf as part of the show. I feel bad saying this, but he really didn't sing very well, didn't really look like Elvis and seemed to rush through the songs. I am just being honest. BUT, he was hired for nothing more than a novelty, and my love of the King and he provided that.
