Are you looking for UNIQUE entertainment that will impress ALL your guests? Tired of the same old band or DJ? Nothing is more fun than DUELING PIANOS! Our performers play all genres -- Rat Pack to rap, classic rock to country -- whatever is requested by YOU the audience! Appropriate for ALL AGES, our "show" is never the same. The night is driven by the requests of you and your guests. Write down your favorite song or artist on our request slips and the piano players will rock them out on two baby grand pianos!
I'll try to give you a little insight as to how we typically play a part in a 4 - 5 hour reception. I understand that some details may/will change as the actual date draws near but my goal is to get an idea of what you're looking for.
Spanky Entertainment to arrive between 60 & 90 minutes before reception begins to load-in and set up. We bring everything we need to perform (PA, pianos, etc.). When reception begins I recommend an iPod (provided by Spanky Ent) for music instead of the pianos performing background music. We can emcee as much as or little as you'd like. Announcing the wedding party & bride/groom while playing an mp3 of your choice underneath the announcement to help set the vibe. Usually the venue has you cut the cake immediately after being announced so they can cut and plate for the guests during dinner.
We provide a microphone for speeches (welcome speech by FOB, blessing, MOH & BM speeches). Often the MOH & BM speeches are done during dinner once everyone has been served or all tables have been through the buffet. When it's time for the First Dance, Father/Daughter, Mother/Son songs, we can perform them or play the mp3, whichever you choose.
Once the dancing begins, the dueling pianos will take requests from your guests, keeping everyone dancing, singing and having FUN! You and your guests can write down whatever they want to hear on our request slips (no tip with request required like the piano bars). We can also work in the bouquet/garter toss, anniversary dance, etc., whatever you'd like!
When we start performing for the dancing, we don't take a break and will play 2-3 hours. We use music that your guests requests to bring everyone together, young and old alike, dancing, singing along, having fun. Our goal is to make you and your fiancé the stars of the night, celebrating with friends and family, and making the night one to remember!
For fundraisers, here's what we typically do. Of course, we take pride in being versatile and open to any suggestions you or the committee may have.
4 hour event - Hour 1 - Food & Beverages, Hour 2-4 - Dueling Pianos
We would arrive before everyone else to load-in and set up. During the first hour we would put on music via our iPod. We would also supply a microphone for any speaker(s) you may have for the event. We recommend having a dynamic speaker to talk about why we're here and what we're raising money specifically for.
Once we begin, we don't take a break. We also don't need an emcee any longer unless you would like that person to do so throughout the show.
We bring the piano bar to your event. We take requests just like in the piano bars only this time the tip money (100% of it) goes to the fundraiser. I have some language you can use to help explain to people how to make song requests, how to get their song played quicker, etc. Guests can also request us to bring up another guest in the audience. We can have that person sing, or roast them in a good, clean, fun way. Sometimes we can get a group of people up there to do the hokey pokey, the chicken dance, YMCA stuff that everyone knows.
We have various proven ideas to make money for your event. From guests PAYING to NOT have to go on stage (contact me and ask me!) to selling banners to local businesses in the community for sponsors of the event.
I am available to attend a meeting(s) with you and the committee to help give my expertise on how we can play an integral part of the event to ensure success. Often the first year is a success but only a glimpse of how you can build toward the future with our show and to spread the word. The people that attend will have such fun they will tell everyone they know for months afterwards. Those people will come check it out the next year. We have seen attendance increase 50% from year one to year two of the event!
