While mastering the fundamentals of mixing & scratching throughout the 90s, Ko.B was also getting his fingers dusty from digging through stacks of funk, jazz, soul, rock and latin music. Not only would he find the seeds that would later grow in to a diverse production catalog of off the wall beats, but all that crate digging endowed Ko.B with a vast musical knowledge of the classics and even the more obscure. Later on during his college years, this knowledge and skill would prove fruitful and put Ko.B in high demand on and off campus. It was there a midst the blacklights and red solo cups that Ko.B mastered the art of rocking the crowd and made a name for himself at the University of Virginia where he would later be tapped to teach an Introduction to DJing course during his last two semesters. A noble cause for sure, but it was then that Ko.B witnessed that expensive equipment and a current playlist doesn't make a good DJ. It has to be in your blood, sweat and soul like it is for the crowd movers of REVL Soundsystem. These days you can catch Ko.B flying the REVL flag in NYC where he continues the tradition of making walls sweat and dance floors buckle under pressure from the the almighty bounce. The American born Kittitian got into djing after seeing how some of his dj friends moved crowds playing music they loved. After being inspired by that and the NYC dancehall scene he soon strived to rock crowds playing his favorite music. DJ Bregga spins new and old reggae, dancehall, rock steady, soca & calypso. His influences include Frankie Cutlass, DJ Premier, DJ Adonai & Firelinks. As a DJ, his focus is earning his stripes in the dancehall scene while continuing to pursue his other passions of creating music.
