Jeff was a wonderful DJ. We have 4 more teenage children, and when they get married we will be hiring Jeff again. He went way above and beyond our expectations. Thank You so much Jeff

They did such a wonderful job for us Michael and I were very pleased. They were on strict time constraints due to the community center rules and the DJ was ready to perform when needed Thank you SOOOOO Much! Mrs. Crystal Cook

Hello Jeff, We wanted to thank you for your professionalism and flexibility on our wedding day; through the whole planning process your suggestions and experience made us feel at ease. Our reception went off without a single issue and we appreciate all the hard work you did to make that happen. We also appreciate you playing all the songs we wanted to hear and playing requests as they were given. I know people had a great time at our reception and you played a large role in it's success. Thank you and sorry for taking so long to write some much needed and deserved feedback. Cheers, Mike and Jenny DeMaria

Wedding ReceptionReviewed on September 27, 2010From Kansas City, KS

I thought that the DJ was very accomadating and that he kept reception flowing perfectly. My one and only issue was that he couldn't pronounce my name correctly even though myself and my bridal party told him repeatedly how to say it. Eventually, I told him to just call me Lish, though I don't think my mom was very happy about that.

PromReviewed on May 4, 2009From Cleveland, MO

J Todd Music Agency DJ'd our Prom. Mr. Todd was punctual, personable, and accomodating. Although there were some glitches in communicating our desires to Mr. Todd, we must say that he did his best to resolve our concerns. Overall feedback from the students indicates that they would have appreciated someone who interacted more with the crowd and shuffled the genres from our song list, rather than grouping like genres together. More initiative was needed in making dj-type decisions to keep the overall atmosphere going when encouragement was needed to get dancers out on the floor.

:

I shuffled the genre's constantly during the dance and never played more than 3 songs in a row from one genre. I was asked one time by Leigh Anne Stark, the committee chairperson to play a group dance song after she arrived 30 minutes late to the prom, and I honored her request. She approached me 3 more times and asked me to make announcements and each time I asked her if she was happy and if everything was going ok and each time she said yes. At no time during the dance did she or any of the committee members ask me to shuffle the generes more often. The kids danced all night!

While he was very accommodating as far as our needs and requests, not all requests were fulfilled. Some of the music that I had requested him not to play, he played anyways. While he did play a large majority of our music, we had to inform him to either speak up so we could hear him or turn the music up a little louder. What I was pleased with was his flexibility in letting us choose our own music. However, his variety of music was very slim. He did not have an accurate list available to me when requested, only an old list. By the time I received an accurate rundown list of his music, it was last minute. Overall, very friendly, but would not recommend.

:

This feedback is not accurate. The few songs she is talking about were requests by her guests. The bride approved this in advance. Asking a DJ one time at an event to turn up the sound is not deserving of a complaint on line. I did what she asked me to do. I fulfilled all of her requests. She received a list from me in a timely manner. I followed her play list and documented what I played. People danced all night. I was asked to play an exra hour which I did, at no charge. After the reception she thanked me profusely and gave me a $20 tip. They also asked me to have a photo taken with them, which I did, and invited me to stay and drink with them, which I declined.

WeddingReviewed on April 19, 2008From Drexel, MO

I was not very pleased with J Todd. Through e-mail communication and telephone, he assured me that he had exactly the types of music I had specified, therefore we chose him for our wedding. While he was very affordable, I had to compile much of the music that was needed for our reception and then most of it wasn't even played that evening. Much of the evening no one was dancing because they didn't even recognize the music. I was just glad when it was over.

:

This complaint suprises me. At no time during or after the reception did she indicate she was unhappy. People danced all night long and had a great time. She did have some specific songs that I did not have. She said she would provide the CD's and a play list. What she brought me were homeade compilation CD's she burned from mp 3 files that would not play. Fortunately I brought a lot of music with me including songs she approved of in advance. I did this for 70% of my normal fee at the last minute. I paid the booking fee and did not charge for any travel expenses that I incurred.

it was a disaster! we had to make all of our own cd's for him to play when it was his job to provide the music, he did not have a single song other than the chicken dance and he didn't even play it!! during the middle of my ceremony he started playing a loud trumpet noise! he asked if we could finish the reception with the lights on cause he felt like he was going to pass out!! it was just a horrible expericene in my opinion i will never use him again or refer anyone to him! in my opinion we basically payed him just to show up at our wedding

:

Actually this could have been a disaster since this Bride chose for whatever reason to completely drop the ball big time. I received the schedule, song list and intenerary at 1 am the day of her wedding! I wasn't even invited to the rehersal. I played the Chicken Dance & brought 99% of the music. I received several compliments. When I asked the bartender to turn up the lights a little bit where I was set up and joked with him because they only had decaf coffee, I didn't think I would be mis-quoted by an eaves dropping guest and slammed by the Bride. This customer is extremely ungrateful. Some jobs are not worth doing for any price, this was one of them.

You only get married once. I should have listened to my now-wife when she said "He's got too many negative ratings" Sadly, I figured I'd give him a chance because he seemed like a nice guy with experience. He was not prepared: I gave him the songs on CDs, met w/ him & SET UP his Napster playlist for him so that all he had to do was press PLAY. YET, somehow.. He still couldn't play a single song when it was supposed to be played! To top it all off: He blew an amp before we could do our dances.. His equipment FAILED. He had no backup amp or anything. Thankfully, the venue had built-in speakers in the ceiling. Sadly, no matter what goes wrong, it's never his fault.
