For me, music is about more than just having fun,” Matrixx says. "I am here to be a culture changer and a positive impact on anyone who is able to hear my voice. I want to live my life dedicated to improving the things that I touch. Through it all, I want to serve others and spread love to all those I encounter.”
With almost 20 years of experience as a professional DJ and crowd pleaser, Mr. Matrixx has become the manifestation of consistency, versatility, and a strong commitment to service through cultural expression, joy, and love. Over the years, Matrixx had electrifying performances in some of New York City's hottest nightclubs such as Club Amazura, Greenhouse, Copacabana, 760 Rooftop, Stage 48, The Attic Rooftop and many others. From 2012 to 2015, Matrix partnered with Applebee's landmark Times Square location to become the official New Year's Eve party DJ. Each year, he performed in front of thousands of people from all over the world. From 2014 to 2016, he hosted what became Brooklyn's most popular Thursday night event, Reggae Thursdays at the Vodou Bar in the Bedford-Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn. Matrixx always strives to be better. “There's always room for improvement!” he says. In Summer of 2014, Matrixx graduated at the top of his class from Scratch Academy. The academy was founded by the late Jam Master Jay of legendary Hip Hop group Run DMC and has trained over 500,000 DJs worldwide since its inception. A year later, Matrixx founded DJ Matrixx LLC. Through this company, Matrixx consistently partners with service organizations whose primary aim is to uplift, educate, and entertain. Specifically, Matrixx has been able to appeal to such organizations by finding ways to cleverly entwine education and uplifting conversation into his musical performances. In 2016, Matrixx partnered with Macy's East-Herold Square to perform and participate in Macy's Modern Man. This event taught young boys in underprivileged communities how to properly dress and present a positive image of themselves through clothing and accessories. In 2017, Matrixx performed as the official DJ at the Harlem location for the renowned Kwanza Crawl event. This event kicks off the week-long celebrations of African culture in America and highlights the principles of love, respect and honor. Today, Matrixx is able to use his versatile methods to bring people together from all generations. As a Gala/Wedding MC and DJ, he pays special attention to detail and works extremely hard to create perfect environments. He guarantees quality and satisfaction at the highest level. Matrixx truly does it all!
