DJ Cabassa DJ from New York City, NY

I am an open format DJ who plays all ranges of musical genres. As far as equipment, I currently use a Numark NS6 controller, as it is easily portable along with my speakers etc. However, I learned to DJ on Technic turntables at Scratch DJ Academy so I have extensive experience with vinyl as well. My history: *June - August 2013: held a weekly residency at the Sixth Ward bar in Manhattan (on the Lower East Side). I played Thursday nights from 7pm-1am and the music requirements there were 80s/90s/00s/10s Pop, House, and Rock. *May 2013: Played a birthday party for 4 hours on a boat that traveled along the Long Island coast. That day I played 80s/90s/00s Hip Hop, R&B, Reggaeton, House, Salsa, Merengue, Bachata. *October 2013: Graduated from Scratch DJ Academy. *February 2014: Played a 3-hour Valentine's Day event at Victoria's Secret in Bayside, NY. Being an in-store event, all music had to be clean (no curses) and non-aggressive. I played a selection of Dancehall, House, Pop, Moombahton, and Hip Hop, *June 2014: Played a 6-hour birthday party in Central Islip, NY. This was also a sorority toga party with a mixture of 90s/00s Hip Hop, Top 40, Dancehall, House, Trap, and Indie Electro. *June 2014: Reached #49 on the Pop charts on Mixcloud. *July 2014: Played an engagement party in Freeport, NY. This included a mixture of 90s/00s Hip Hop/R&B, Cumbia, Salsa, Bachata, Merengue, Reggaeton, Dancehall, and Top 40. *August 2014: Reached #28 on the Trap charts on Mixcloud.
