My impression of DJ Hurricane is that he's a nice person but needs more experience to be called a "professional" DJ. My wife and I had to re-send several documents and details of our wedding because he'd misplaced them. Additionally, after arriving at the wedding venue, an hour before he was set to play, he suddenly made the decision to leave because he was worried about his equipment getting wet because of rain, even though we had covered areas. Luckily, my dad (a musician) used his own equipment with great success. Though the DJ made attempts to reach us by email, he made no attempt to call us by phone until he was at the wedding site and it was too late.

First of all when a change is made by the party getting married, I prefer to have the couple email me the exact document or request so we both know it is correct. Now when I have an event to DJ, my wife and I always show up an hour before we are supposed to start, sometimes earlier if we have to use lights etc., and to take care of any little problems that may come up, which happens from time to time. As far as just leaving, I discussed this with her husband the whole time while we were dodging the pouring down rain. It simply came down to they did not provide a protected and most importantly safe place to set up sound equipment. I apologized and we left.

DJ Hurricane (and his sweet wife!) were awesome!! They were very easy to work with and were extremely professional. They showed up on time, got all set up and kept the evening flowing along very smoothly. Everyone of my requests was met perfectly. DJ Hurricane touched base with me several times prior to the event and was super organized, efficient and a breeze to work with! They were even kind enough to send us pictures that they took during the event! A wonderful bonus!! I would highly recommend his services to anyone wanting to throw a happening party with great music and fun entertainment. DJ Hurricane, you rocked our beach party and we thank you! :)

DJHurricane and his wife are an amazing team!! From beginning to end they preformed flawlessly! He even helped me pick out the perfect song for my father and I to dance to. An additional bonus was his wife taking pictures! We couldn't have picked a better DJ. I highly recommend him and would use his services again in a heartbeat. Thank you again for a magical evening!

DJ Hurricane was amazing!! Despite the horrific weather, he was instrumental in making our wedding more perfect than I could ever imagine. I wouldn’t change a thing about our day. We had so many special requests and he happily accommodated each and every one. He is easy to communicate with and promptly answered emails.

DJ Hurricane, Darrell, was very professional. His choice of music was excellent. He played most of the songs on my playlist. He had everyone at the party dancing and having a good time. He arrived on time and set up quickly. After he played the last song, a friend asked him to play a special song for my husband and me. He stayed a few minutes after end time to play it for us. His rates are very reasonable. We plan on booking him again in the future. I would highly recommend him to all my friends.

DJ Hurricane arrived and set up for the event early as promised for the contract. His equipment was more than powerful enough for the venue. Setting up the music ahead of the event was easily accommodated - especially for the custom requests which occurred through the evening. The dance floor on a cold night saw plenty of action from the music selections.

DJ Hurricane backed out of my wedding 8 days before the event. A portion of his email to me: “I have to say I have never been involved in a wedding...that has been coordinated down to the minute like this affair is...if I had known this is what was going to be involved I would have never bid on your affair and to be honest you don't need a DJ you need a CD player.”. This shocking unprofessional behavior aside, he agreed to our requirements both in writing and verbally well before the wedding. He apologized after the wedding and refunded the deposit, and while I don’t wish him ill, I do hope that other brides see this message so they are spared the anxiety we endured.

I am so glad you wrote this. When we met I was informed you wanted classical music and come to find out it was classical music from the 18th century and I could get it but I got weblinks to music I was unable to play instead of my simple planner, she was very condescend answering with signature of "Ha".

DJ Hurricane was very professional and courteous all throughout the process and event. This was our first time using a booking website and he was very patient and kind in explaining everything. He was very punctual and a pleasure to work with. Darrell was great! He kept in contact with me throughout the planning process and really wanted to play the songs WE wanted to hear. The event went great. He played every guest request IMMEDIATELY but also had standby songs in case the requests weren't coming in. He was accomodating on the sound volume. He took direction VERY well! The light show was AWESOME and totally made it a dance party. I will hire him again when my 2nd daughter turns 16.
