The Uptown Lowdown Jazz Band was an amazing addition to our wedding day. Everyone raved, everyone danced, we just had a blast! I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for an incredible, soulful band to play New Orleans influenced jazz at a wedding, party or function of any type. It's the perfect choice - not so loud that you can't sit and have a conversation if you'd like to - but good luck sitting still in your seat when they start!

Uptown Lowdown Jazz was FABULOUS! They were very professional and the music was awesome. We had guests ages 5 to 92, and absolutely everyone had a blast listening and dancing to the music. Thank you for providing us a lovely evening. People are still telling us how much they enjoyed your entertainment!!!

Uptown lowdown jazz band quartet was just perfect for our summer wedding. The setting was a beautiful lavender farm on Vashon. This band set the tone perfectly for the wedding. They are AMAZING! We requested numerous songs, all of which they played perfectly and at just the right time. They are highly professional and incredibly sweet. I would love to have them play an event or party again one day. LOVE THEM!!!

I'm so happy we were able to book ULJB for our wedding. They were the second vendor we booked after our location and we couldn't be more pleased with the decision. The band was wonderful, and even worked with my Husband to surprise me with a special song (Bare Necessities, from The Jungle Book) for our first dance - I had no idea that this was going on and was tickled pink when I heard the first few bars. :) I had multiple guests asking where and how we found ULJB because they were just perfect. (Even our wedding photographer loved them!) I can't imagine our wedding without them. I'm only sad we don't have the money to book them for every little party we throw! ;D

Thank you Bert & crew for a fabulous performance at our party. It was so much fun to have such talented and experienced musicians to highlight the night. I loved your willingness to accomodate our birthday girl's special requests, and your voice of experience was right on. We really appreciated you making the trip to make our party so special for Mom and our guests! Hope to see you again somewhere along the road!

We were very pleased with the cooperation and communication prior to the event. They were tops!!!To quote my Dad who had his 95th birthday.
We had the 3 piece band, a trumpet player with an awesome sound, an excellent alto saxophone player, and a great piano player. They made you want to dance, which we did and fit right in with our gala affair. We recommend them highly.

They were OUTSTANDING!! Residents loved the music and danced in the isles. My mom, who was celebrating her 90th B-day...loved their performance. They played much longer than booked. We will have to book them again...they were a hit!!
Corporate Function•Reviewed on November 11, 2009•From Newcastle, WA
Uptown Lowdown Jazz was terrific! We hired them to perform at our annual Client Economic Outlook Seminar where we had 450 clients in attendence over two sessions. We are a financial advisory firm with clients generally in their 50s, 60s and 70s. We design our event to be informative as well as entertaining. We also use it to say "thank you" to our clients for their loyalty. We left the musical selection to them and it was perfect. "Sugar Blues" and "Pennies from Heaven" were especially great. The group is professional, talented and experienced. I would highly recommend them!

The Uptown Lowdown Jazz were exactly what we needed. They made the party! It wouldn't have been as fun or as festive without them. We had fun dancing to their music, they played songs on request, and when we weren't dancing, they were great background to the party. When they stopped playing for a break, the party was noticably less fun, so I know that they added a lot to the atmosphere. I'd hire them again in a second.
Celebration•Reviewed on July 27, 2009•From Bremerton, WA
The band was hired to be apart of our Celebration of New Beginnings, a time when we marked the past, the discernment of merging two churches together, where we are now, and where we want to be in the future. They added such joy and celebration with their music. And, each of the band members mingled with the people, and became a part of the day. We would hire them back in an instant! Having their professional music a part of our worship and festival time afterward was fantastic!
Anniversary Party•Reviewed on May 12, 2009•From Eatonville, WA
Uptown Lowdown Jazz was the perfect complement to my parents' 50th anniversary party. I had more people come up to us all night asking where I found them. They were accommodating to my parents' taste, were timely in their arrival even though it was a long drive, and were easy to work with when planning around our event schedule. All this, and their sound was impeccable. Great song selection and just a joy to work with and be entertained by. I would highly recommend them for your event!
Community Event•Reviewed on July 24, 2008•From Woodinville, WA
Our budget allowed only for the "petite" version of the band, four members and they were fine. Arrived and began to play on time, accepted the very poor stage area provided and provided the audience with requested music. With no sound system they did not have any spoken banter with the audience but caught the eyes of many and acknowledged applause when given. Nice group of guys and they did a great job with what they had to work with.
We'll have them again and recommend them to others. Thanks, ns

I was not around for part of the performance, but did enjoy the music from across the park. For through accurate feedback I checked with our sound technician:
> Were they on time?
Yes
> Professional?
Very
> Easy to work with?
Yes
> Sound good?
Excellent
That says it all.

Top Notch! Wonderful music, friendly and VERY accomodating, even took suggestions to change their lineup for a better sound for our event.
They know how to read a crowd and will have songs ready to go.
