Straight Ahead really knows how to get the party started! They played every requested song and really made our guests, regardless of age, want to get out on the dance floor (and that included my 82 year old Godmother). Donna Harris is an amazing singer and the band can play just about any style of music! Many of our guests commented on how much they enjoyed the band, not just for dancing but also to listen to. I would highly recommend Straight Ahead!

Straight Ahead was a very strong component of making the wedding reception and pre-cocktail party the great success that it was. Many attendees said that it was the best wedding that they had attended. The band was very accommodating, given the weather conditions during the event.

Straight Ahead gave such a wonderful performance at my wedding! The music selection was spot on, and flawlessly performed. They delivered a terrific rendition of Forever Young, which we wanted for the bride/father dance, and added Wagon Wheel to their song list for us, among meeting our other requests. They were so easy to work with and so accommodating, and made the whole process simple and pleasant. The only regret I have is that the reception wasn’t longer, so we could have heard more!

We loved Straight Ahead! They did a fantastic job and everybody loved the music.
We first heard John sing live in another band and we liked his voice and his style. We chose Straight Ahead because they can play a variety of music ranging from big band to modern. But their samples don't really do them justice. They sound much better in person.
The night of the wedding, they showed up very early and John emcee'd the event like a pro. So many guests complimented us on the music and the band - during the wedding and for weeks afterwards. We had about 180 guests, and they managed to get nearly every guest onto the dance floor. We strongly recommend hiring them.

Straight Ahead was fantastic! John mc'd and made sure everything flowed smoothly. He spoke with us beforehand and made sure we had everything covered (toasts, how to introduce us,...). The music was beautiful! These are professional musicians. We told them what type of music we wanted and a few of our favorites and they nailed it. They played everything from jazz standards, to rock and dance music. It was a Sunday afternoon wedding and they even got everyone up dancing at the end. We've gotten a lot of compliments on how great the music was. They truly made our wedding memorable.
