This band knows how to have a good time and it shows on stage. They play a mixed groove of Blues, Motown, Rock and Funk, mixed with current music. The combination of soulful and gritty vocals with the passionate guitar and rocking saxophone make for a night of music to remember. "Memphis Underground" is an amazing 7 piece band comprised of experienced, professional, and really fun musicians. We are a high energy and versatile band that can get people up dancing or entertain a seated audience. We are an especially popular band for Community/Special Events and Festivals where a diverse audience is present. Our wide ranging music, talent and enthusiastic/entertaining performance style makes Memphis Underground a great choice for creating a memorable event! Immense musical range which includes R&B, Contemporary Dance & Pop, Classic Rock, Blues, Motown. Our extreme versatility comes from our 7 musicians. This band has 3 different lead singers including a female vocalist, soulful male vocalist, and a blues/rock vocalist. Two of these singers are dedicated to vocals only so they are free to stay focused on entertaining the audience. Our sax and keyboard players make it possible to play every genre of music from Contemporary to Motown to Classic Rock- even jazz and blues if it fits the audience. Our single guitarist is one of the most amazing guitarists anyone in Michiana has ever heard and our drummer can keep a great rhythm without being overbearing (or too loud). We are a high energy band and we love to perform. We can even provide our pianist for your cocktail hour, a set of classical guitar for dinner music, or a DJ between sets to pump up the dance beat. A "state of the art" digital audio PA System, wireless mic for MC or toasts, and perfect (appropriate) stage lighting is available. We want to sound good and look good for our clients.
